Cloud Solutions

Cloud deployed and managed applications are redefining business technology. For good reason: cloud applications and cloud solutions can be deployed faster, are easier to integrate, dramatically reduce on-site hardware purchases, are simpler to manage, are always up to date and support is built into the monthly cost.

Where once cloud consisted of simple, individual user, applications, it now impacts business communications technology. Unified Communications, Contact Center, Data Networking, Fax, Wide-Area-Networks or WANs can all be either cloud deployed or managed or both.

Unity has created a complete portfolio of cloud solutions backed by a flexible suite of managed services.

Is Cloud Cost-Effective?

Cloud includes many items not included in a premise system. View our brochure on how you can save money and gain access to new features with a cloud phone system.

Have Mobile Workers?

Read our eBook on the benefits cloud communications systems have for organizations with mobile workers – increasing their efficiency and lowering cost of business.

Flexfone offers business a simple, scalable, cloud based communications platform that is ideal for SMB companies. Offered as an inexpensive monthly fee basis, Flexfone is simple, scalable and quick to deploy.

The industry leading midmarket Unified Communications (UC) and contact center solution, is now available as a cloud option. Hosted IP Office Powered by. Avaya IP Office can start as small as 20 users, grow to 3,000 users. It can be implemented to offer simple telephony and messaging, or the more complex mobility, integrated unified communications or contact centre. It can support up to 32 locations.

Unified Communications in the Cloud

Unity offers three different cloud deployed business communications solutions. All are priced on a per user per month basis and include support and Telco access. Not only is Cloud the fastest and simplest way to deploy phone service today, it can offer features equivalent to any premise based system.

Contact Center & Workforce Management in the Cloud

Contact centers have been at the forefront of customer engagement. With the increase in communication ‘channels’ coupled to amplified customer expectations there is greater pressure to build true multi-channel  contact centers. Many of these efforts have hit implementation and integration challenges.

Omni channel cloud contact centers solve this dilemma. Cloud contact centers have jumped ahead of premise based solutions by offering artificial intelligent filtering, sorting and routing to more effectively handle customer engagements.

Five9 are the leader in omni channel contact center. A Gartner Magic Quadrant leader, Five9 offer Inbound, Outbound Dialling, IVR, blending and more. Unity are the first vendor to offer Five9 in Canada. Take a look at what they can offer.

The perfect complement to either cloud or premise based Contact Centers, Calabrio offers industry leading Workforce Management and Optimization. Take contact center performance to the next level, quickly and seamlessly with instant visibility and industry leading performance management.

Data Management

While businesses rely on data networking for their core infrastucture, they don’t want to spend the time and resources needed to continously manage and support. One way to solve this problem is with a cloud managed data network. Cloud managed data networking separates the control and management functionality from the on-site hardware. The result? Fast deployment, more visibility, less downtime.

Cisco Meraki WLAN: Cloud managed networking started with Wireless LANs (WLANs.) Eveybody needed one but few had the skills to optimally secure and manage. We ship the Access Points (APs) to your site and they are up and running in minutes.

Cisco Meraki Switching: With WLANs you need less switching, but you still need to support the APs, servers, printers and any desktop PCs without Wifi. Cisco Meraki provides a full range of cloud managed switching to make the task to create a complete network simple.

Cisco Meraki Security: Cisco Meraki also offers cloud managed security, firewall and routing; the most difficult and time consuming area to manage. Check out how you can build your entire network with a Cisco Meraki cloud managed solution.

SD-WAN

Until now, cloud managed only aplied to applications and your in building data networking. Wide Area Networks were still the purview of dated technology. Cloud now applies to Wide Area Networking.

Multi-site customers need to provide simple, seamless access to enterprise applications to ensure the entire business runs smoothly. Today’s standard are MPLS networks –  the highest cost bandwidth – but until now, the only answer for building private networks.  MPLS does not offer the required performance for low latency applications and is an inefficient way to support branch access to cloud applications. MPLS is also notoriously difficult to manage and support.

Unity now offers SD-WAN technology. SD-WANs allow business to procure multiple, lower cost network access. By extracting the network control and centrally managing in the cloud, SD-WANs allow businesses to automate and  optimize WAN and application level performance.

Unity Managed Services

Once a business migrates to cloud deployed or managed applications it does not need to procure overarching and comprehensive support agreements. At the same time it may need to supplement for skill deficits, low value work, staff shortages or simply because the work is not strategic.

Unity offers a suite of managed services. These services fill a skill or resource gap and are charged on per unit basis. Service Level Agreements (SLAs) provide confidence that these services can adequately supplement in-house support to internal end-users.

With Unity’s expertise and specialization, we can often perform the work faster than in-house staff. Check out our complete managed services portfolio.

Digital Transformation

While CIOs are busy steering their company’s journey through a digital transformation business leaders, in fact even individual users, are making their own technology purchasing decisions.

Cloud can be an enabler for Digital Transformation. The speed with which new applications and processes can be integrated is staggering – overcoming the single biggest Digital Transformation obstacle.

Cloud allows CIOs to focus on their role in knitting the IT and Business groups together. Less time needs to be spent selecting, installing, maintaining and upgrading physical infrastructure and more time can be spent on the positive outcomes of the technology on the business.

End-User Emancipation

Not since the 1980’s, when Personal Computers (PCs) redefined business processes and practices, have we seen such emancipation for end-users.

Cloud and mobile devices have put more power and more control into the hands of every single user.

Individual users and departments can decide to acquire role or department specific applications on a monthly basis out of their own budget.

While balance is required to ensure that these decisions don’t have negative consequences, overlapping tools, low security, risk to intellectual property, for example, it should not act as a barrier to enhancing team and customer engagement.
